Canadian Recall
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com according to Transport Canada: Certain vehicles may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 101 – Location and Identification of Controls and Displays. Due to a software error, the instrument cluster may not turn on when the vehicle is started. This could disable various control telltales and warning symbols, thereby failing to meet the requirements of the standard. This could also result in the driver not being aware of malfunctions, which could affect vehicle performance and increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the vehicle software. Could this be part of the shipping delay for week 45 production? |

Maybe it only affected very early builds, like review cars. Or December builds that aren’t even released to public yet, like the ones getting the lane change updates. That would be kind of weird for them to know about it already, but something is up if this site is claiming recall and BMWs systems don’t even detect one on actual released G01s. It’s not like there are that many variations out there

I’m now in 182 Scheduled for Carrier, so my guess is that we’ll start to see movement northbound. Whatever the issue is, my guess is that it’s fixed, or there is a fix that will be ready once it hits the dealer. Would that be a possibility?
