2004 X3 Purge Valve
Hello -
I have a "service engine soon" light, and the code reader says P0444. Based on my research, it looks like I need to replace the purge valve. I am trying to figure out if this is something I could do myself, but as a first step have been unable to locate the purge valve! I have watched several videos, but can't find any for the 2004 X3. I am hesitant to start poking around under the hood without a little more guidance. Might anyone have any guidance on how to access this? Or could anyone point me to a good diagram of what's under the hood? Thank you! |

It's the purge valve for the fuel tank evaporative system. You have the M54 engine. It should be very similar to this video for the E46.
