I saw that as well but the slime is half the price & fix a flat is even less. From what I've heard they all pretty much work the same. just wondering which is better.

I purchased the Slime 40026 2X Heavy Duty Direct Drive Tire Inflator on Amazon.
Use it in place of a spare, carry in back.
Reviews are very good.
Have a look.

I bought the mobility set from bmw, which includes slime and pump (all in one unit). Looks like a no-brainer: attach power, connect hose to tire, turn a knob to start pump, etc. And your ready to go. Hope I won't need to use it though..... Lol

the mobility set costs as much as a spare tire. I was looking for something cheaper.

Are tires so cheap over there? Here in switzerland the Mobility Set costs 1/3 of what a new Pirelli costs. At least with the mobility set I don't need to carry a spare tire, tools and jack around.

I'm sure there are less expensive models available.

Apart from slime - you do need tires
There is a good thread by Chopper45 on the X4 forum about good tires.

I just have the pump since most flats are (mostly) slow leaks or you need a top up. Under these circumstances you will be able to drive for assistance and not damage a tire.

Last time I looked this pump was around $50 and it really works well.
