Huge wave of X3 robberies in Brussels

A friend of mine got his X3 totally messed up twice in two months! They take everything from central console in 2 min max, police is useless as usual. No wonder they chose Belgium for this enterprise.

That is quite worrying, I am in Brussels too but luckily park my X3 in a locked garage at night. Was this during the day or parked on the street at night?

So, do I understand correctly the vehicle itself is not being stolen but it is being chopped in place for parts?

Or it's just been broken into and had some stuff stolen from inside

I was somewhat left scratching my head as well. While I certainly feel for the OP's friend, having the same car broken into twice in 2 months is hardly a "huge wave of X3 robberies".

Same car twice within two months, close to Merode, parked on the street. They robbed GPS and ECU. Professionals according to the police, they are in and out of the car in 5 min. They go on campaign during the night and hit multiple cars.

It was multiple cars during one night, I forgot the number. I will probably going to lie when I say in the range of 50. He participated in two waves so far

there could be more he is not aware of. It took a month to repair all the broken stuff, so he might have missed few events during that time

Thats is way too many cars. that was a well coordinated hit! I live in Germany and im starting to feel concerned about this problem...
