Oil change reset

Hi everyone, so I have a2014 X3, car came with the oil changed and after 5k miles i changed it again. turns out that when I hit the reset button it goes "Reset unsuccesfull" is there any way(trick) to do it? I heard that for reset the brake pad you need to put on the seatbeal and release the parking breaking. but I dont know for reset the oil. btw, there is no light of check engine.

Why are you trying to reset the CBS (condition based service) interval early? See the 3 criteria below. Ignore pressing the START button 3 times (3 times is for newer G chassis BMWs)...on the F chassis BMWs...you only need to press the START button TWICE (foot OFF the brake pedal).

It's set to alert you at 10Kmiles/12 months (whichever comes first)...if you want to change your oil more frequently, simply change your oil and let the CBS system continue to monitor accordingly. Then when you get the alert, it will probably be time to change your oil again (using your shorter interval)...at that time you can reset the lights.
