Most spent on an X3?

Hey all

Just for fun I thought I'd see how much £ you could spend on an X3 on the BMW configurator page.

After speccing a 35d M Sport with all the goodies (obviously some are mutually exclusive) I got a bill for £56,870

Can anyone top that?! What's the most anyone on here has spent on an X3 (before discounts)?

Probably a base model in Norway would cost more!

Err ... Try building one on the DE site ... Now THAT IS SCAREY!

If I remember rightly every teeeny thing is an optional extra ... and the equivalent of a UK top spec car came out something like £10k more in Euros ...

Ask one of our Aussie friends. I think they pay the most by far.

The most expensive X3 would probably be in countries with trade embargo like Cuba or North Korea, on account of the costs for smuggling it into the country and having to pay off government officials.

Jokes asides I think Singapore would be pretty high up there. There's a very high import tax, cash upfront, annual road tax, permits that cost more than some luxury cars in the US, and at the end of 10 years you don't even own the car.

Here's a little article about how a 2011 335i convertible costs $260,000 US in Singapore:

I know this is not completely pertinent, but fun nonetheless. I did this on the Porsche website for a Cayenne and was able to add $80,000 in options alone. Crazy

Mine was £48.8k list. I didn't want to cross the psychological £50k mark as I don't feel the X3 is a £50k car. So much else can be had for money in that bracket. Silly but that's how it works in my head!

It also prepares me nicely for the next cost step into that bracket which will like be an F30 M3 when it appears

It could be a lot higher too if BMW went down the Audi Q5 route with the X3 of having "individual" leather and paintwork. I'm more than happy with my £42.2k list price. And of course you could spend even more by having some of the bits and bobs from the accessories brochure put on before you pick it up from the Stealer!

Yep, they're painful here in Aus.

Mine (30d) was RRP $102,000 before negotiating a good discount. Included options for that are sunroof, M Sport, pro nav, phone / voice / bluetooth, xenons, top view. There were quite a few other options available, I could have nudged $110,000 I reckon.

I have since added tinting and BMW towbar, another $2500 worth, and am now looking at an audio upgrade for another $2500...

So all up about $107,000.
