New ride for my ride...

I ended up getting the BMW bike attachment. My old 'universal' attatchment was a no go on the BMW racks.

Overall I am very happy with it. Easy enough to load up the other other ride... and works well.

Still LOVE the Carbon in full sun!

Is that the one that swings down so you can load at ground level?

No its the standard one. It tightens on the frame. The trick I found is that you grab on the fork and low on the frame and get the wheels in the rack and then you are good to go...

I'm looking for a bike rack solution and was wondering how you like the BMW rack? I was looking into Thule but it's really expensive. Can you feel the higher center of gravity much?

I must say the rack functions very well. Easy install and no i think it would be impossible to notice the bike up there when driving. The thing you do notice is wind noise. I think you would notice that with any rack system.

I have ordered ski racks so we will see how that goes. The bike rack is nice.
