the wheel arch surrounds make it look like it's on stilts..

The outside I can get past and maybe it'll even grow on me.

But that interior... Yuck! Too much like an X3 and not enough like a 3 or 4. The dashboard material looks pretty bad, just from the image I'm guessing it also feels pretty bad/cheap.

This car will hurt bmw. Looks so so old allready. The x5 and the x6 did great because they were well thought of products with great design and great to drive. Beeing the 1st on the market helped them beeing the n1 in that segment to this day. This car clearly is an afterthought. Better looking cars are coming besides the Macan, more tech, better to drive. I feel this x4 will be the joke in the segment

I am disappointed they did not lower it - also "cheap" exhausts compared to M Performance Klappenshalldämpfer.

Yep, it's the same interior as the X3. Not that bad but starting to look a bit long in the tooth.

Then leave it out! Why put a bad product just to fill a niche? It will hurt the future x4 because most people will go for macan (I a bmw fan for decades did) and the merc glc (or std not sure on the name) etc and the x4 will always be the underdog from here.

I agree. This interior is on par with my Q5, which has been around since 2009 and is about to be replaced.

Terrible decision by BMW, this is actually the car I was expecting but the company decided they would leave the X3 interior. So mediocrely.

Lol I just bought a Macan in September. Looks way better and drives way nicer than the X4/X4s. I miss the iDrive but don't miss anything else on my BMWs. After 15 BMWs, I didn't ever think I'd leave but I still have a 3 series for a work car. Maybe BMW will have something awesome at the end of my lease. Maybe I'll be ordering another Porsche. Who knows
