ISO Shop in Boston Area that will Machine Wheel Centerbore
Does anyone know of a shop in the Boston area, or even within an hour of Boston, where I can get my centerbores enlarged to fit? I've hit up a dozen machine shops, and wheel shops, and they either don't have the equipment or don't do wheels?
Thanks in advance! |

That doesn't really surprise me. A machine shop can make a bore, but making it perfectly centered in a wheel seems like it would require a specialized jig. Maybe not, but that seems consistent with what you are being told.

A generic machine shop with a large lathe could easily enlarge center bore, but it would have to be one with a kind heart as this might take time away from the real customers.
Just curious, what is the source of the wheels - are they from another auto manufacturer? |

Check out places that do in-house wheel repair. I found one in the Boston area; Northeast Wheel Repair. They may have the equipment to do it. Another option would be to ship them somewhere. Google "wheel fill and drill" for some places that might be able to help. This shop, https://www.wheelredrill.com/, specifically says they can do centerbores.
