VTG Help

I've read so may posts that my brain is numb! ;-)
My 2011 X3 w/ 188,000 miles has been having issues for the last couple thousand miles. RPMs stumble at idle. I thought is was a misfire, but am now suspecting transfer case. Sharp right and left hand turns felt like suspension 'clunk'. Now suspect due to transfer case.
Foxwell 530 codes:
Transfer box: Fault, clutch position unkown.
: Fault, clutch position known, no four-wheel drive.
: Signal (longitudinal torque distribution, front axle/rear axle)
invalid.
Seems like 'longitudinal torque module' 27-60-8-643-153 is the culprit? Can I unplug to troubleshoot 1st? Can't seem to find the VTG fuse on the F25 yet.

All advice appreciated!

You can unplug the VTG controller on the transfer case but its fiddly to get at, you can also as i did (while trying to diagnose another possible transfer case issue) remove the fuse for the controller, details are on here somewhere will have a look.

If you need a new VTG controller it will need to be coded to the car for your reference.

Also if the TC case oil hasnt been done it will be very nasty and needs doing.
