Tire Pressure
What tire pressure is recommended on the x3 with the m-sport r19 tires? Ill be driving in 100F temp weather with about 650 lbs of cargo. The door says 32F and 38Rear are those correct?

I tend to run higher pressures around 41 fronts and 43 rear but you might want to try something in the high 30's with your 100F temp because those pressures go up once you warm the tires up.

I drive in Switzerland and on German autobahns.
From a previous post of mine: I use 36 front and 40 rear (I think) on 19" 245/45 and 275/40 (35d). I think that adding some pressure actually makes for a smoother and more controlled ride as it takes the load off the side-walls. You should also notice less tramlining. Also increasing pressure on my previous 335d with runflats dramatically increased tire life and mileage. On my first set the fronts wore out within the year. BMW told me that the recommended air pressure was really not good and told me that I should always increase the pressure. My new front tires + old rear ones lasted an additional full 3 years. |
