She's Here.

So far, very impressed.

Most of all impressed with the ride quality that the variable dampers bring.

Interestingly I ordered it de-badged, it arrived with badges. I'm happy with that though.

The new HUD is awesome.

35d engine is very nice.

She is beautiful! Post some more pictures. Specially from the inside.

I have a 2013 X3 35i Mineral Silver Metallic with Mojave Nevada and all the trimmings.
Is there a lot of difference between the 2014 and 2013? I picked mine up around Thanksgiving. The wait was killing me.

MS,

Yeah it was quite scary!

Yep - got the full black panel and HUD. Both are better than I expected. The full colour HUD is excellent.

Herbw01 - I think the MY14 gets full colour HUD, Black panel display and updates to iDrive system (much improved hardware.)

I'll do some photos of the interior soon. The red brown is really nice.

I´m pleased with mine so far. Better than feared/expected. The variable dampers do their thing for sure :-) Quite a difference when switching to sport mode.

Wish i was as good as you with the camera...nice photographing

stumblingtrout- could you comment on the new HUD and 'black' instrument panel? I've seen a few comment that you get the two combined in the UK- but I don't understand what you get.

Are there three versions of Instrument panel?
1- Non Pro Sat Nav- Basic i.e. MPG is the old moving needle.
2- Pro Sat Nav- i.e. large colour LCD across the bottom
3- New with HUD- 'Black' Instrument panel- what is this, and how is it difference to 2?

I did quite a bit of research on this prior to ordering mine and as a result added HUD to my order to get the full black panel included (as confirmed by Stumblingtrout)

I'm not sure what panel now comes with non sat nav.

Pro sat nav comes with the small black panel across the bottom which gives you MPG, satnav, media selections etc within that panel. This is the same as what I currently have on my F11.

With HUD you now get the full black panel (there are some pics on the forum, I will add the links when I can find them) which essentially is everything other than the silver rings around the speedo and rev counter, the whole panel goes black when you switch off the ignition.

Hope that helps ..... I'm sure stumblingtrout will add some extra detail about his

I'll try and get some photos up tomorrow but as far as i'm aware in the UK market the models with HUD come with an LCD that stretches the whole width of the dash and of course the black panel dials whereas other models come with (like MS says) the LCD that only covers the right hand side of the dash and standard gauges.

I just can't get over how good the VDC is. My spine remains intact after driving over rough roads - even with 19" wheels. The 530d with M-Sport suspension on 19" wheels made a complete song and dance about it.

Also, a small point that make a nice difference - I can grab a Starbucks/Costa coffee and put it in the cup holder and keep the ability to use the stereo. In the 5 Series, if you had anything in the cup holder, it would obstruct the controls.

Top view blows my mind. Must be some clever lens work.

Can you take 2 pictures of the black panel dash with it on and then off? I want to see how it compares.

This one looks like it answers the question about what a non nav version has ...

The leather is a touch less orange/pink than appears in the photos. I'll get the DSLR out later and see if I can replicate it properly. It's really a great colour and goes well with the white exterior and aluminium trim.

I have the same interior, red+alu. Works really well!

The front parking sensors look different from the 2013 model, they appear to be in the front bumper and not in the grid underneath...

WOW, really great pictures, thank god you didn't post a video or I'd get nothing done today!

Have another 3 weeks until I get my 2014 X3 and to say I can't wait would be an understatement. Congrats!

Thanks!

I see you have your location as UK, but you have 2014 X3 28i as your vehicle? I didn't think we could get petrol models here!

It's worth the wait. What spec did you order?

Interesting observation... I had never noticed! I'll look at some pictures and see the difference.

Edit: Looked at some pics of 2012 MSport's and can't see the difference?
