x3 M40i Transmission Flush - Parts and Tips

Hey folks, need the brains of this forum... I need to do a transmission oil change. I cannot find an OEM transmission pan from a reputable site for the ZF 8HP50 in the M40i.

Anyone have a link or recommendation?

Would also appreciate some insight as to best practices when doing this maintenance. I've wrenched, but this is a new maintenance experience!

Have a look on youtube, there's a few videos of ZF8HP fluid changes. You need to be able to check the gearbox temps to do the fluid change correctly as it has to stay within a certain temp range when changing through the gears.

We have service kits available in the UK like this one. https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-197411-...smissions.aspx

Have you tried FCP Euro? They're pretty good.

Good luck...
