First ever video of 2011 X3 (F25)
We bring you the first ever video of the upcoming 2011 BMW X3 (Chassis: F25) in prototype form, testing on the streets of Germany. The video gives us some nice size and shape perspective against other cars on the road and we can clearly see the front bumper design, grills, and headlamp shape, as well as the profile shape, and side windows.
Production of the new X3 is to be moved to South Carolina in the newly expanded plant alongside the other X vehicles. The car itself is built upon a shared platform with the next generation 3-series (F30) and since the X3 will be released before the next generation 3-series it will actually serve as a preview for the 3-series. The car is to be offered with the usual suspects in the engine department, including the N55 twin-scroll single turbo engine producing 300hp. Smaller more fuel efficient engines part of the EfficientDynamics program will also likely to be offered, as for now this will be the smallest and most affordable and fuel efficient option in the BMW X lineup for the USA.

Looks better than previously. The BMW testers have a very spirited drive, compared to testers of other brands. And on all vids of spotted BMW in Munich, there are so many other BMW of all generations driving. Looks like 70% of cars in Munich are BMW.

no one will know that before nearing the end of the year..
With the production moved to the US, I expect / hope the price will be lower then the current model's price... by adding the HUD option will surely jack the price up. though .. |

I really hope that they bring out a diesel engine to North America as well. With the success of the X5 diesel, it would make sense to capitalize on this market share.
