Hello,
Has anyone updated their brakes with a nice looking caliper? I'm curious what options we have. Thank you in advance.

You can send your calipers and brackets to a firm the in the US that specializes in painting high end calipers for customers that like something different... TAG motorsports is the company.... |

I wish some tuners would give our X3s more attention.
I would like to go to bigger caliper/brakes.. but so far from talking to most of the major brands out there... only one makes front big brake kits.. which doesnt make sense to me just to upgrade the front. |

I upgraded to Stop Tech with cross drilled and slotted rotors all around. Really like the difference isn stopping power. I did not get the calipers painted just replaced with OEM even though they didn't need replacement.

I am curious.
My STD brakes will activate ABS, even on dry tarmac- with relative ease. After ABS is activated, you are on - mostly - "best possible" performance. Tires are the limiting factor. I.e. I donīt need bigger brakes, because I don't make multiple hard brakings. I also have good brakepedal feel and am able to control braking power in a good way. What is your problem - apart from nice shiny Brembo look-alike brakes? X4 M40i has upgraded brakes - for those two people doing runs on a circuit? |

From talking to Brembo... only front kits available.
This is my second X3.. a '13 and now a '15.. from about a combined 100k miles.. brakes has always been the thing I would like upgrade on. Not for hard braking.. but sometimes I do feel I get closer to the vehicle in front than I need to under normal speeds.. specially if I got some extra weight on the vehicle other than passengers... just my experience.. other than that.. I would by a '17 or '18 |
