Rattling Door Seals

HELP!!!!!

The cold weather is coming and as a result my door seals are creaking - it is seriously doing my head in now and not what I expect of a car costing over £40K. Back in March the dealer de-polished the inside edge of where the door seals meet the frame as they said polish from cleaning the car makes it worse. It didnt really work but as the weather warmed up the noise went away anyway. I have recently tried some GummiPfleger as recommended on an early post on the seals but this has also made no difference.

Has anybody got another solution?

not wanting to sound too thick but is it best to spray it on the rubber seal or the metal part that touches the seal or both?

The rubber part. Silicone spray is designed for rubber & plastics, not metal. 3M have multiple types of silicone spray for different uses, you may want to do some Googling and pick the right one. (I vaguely remember it is the lubricant type, once applied the rubber will glide over glass or metal w/o making any noise).

Spray it on both. I use a product called Gummi Pfledge, which I think works really well. I have to apply it on both, applying it on only the rubber doesn't eliminate the noise totally.

I've also used Gummi Pfledge and found it works well but doesn't last very long. I have to re-apply every month.
