2014 X3 Bluetooth issue
I'm looking for some guidance as I am the new owner of a used BMW X3 28i and I am currently having Bluetooth issues. I have read through several posts regarding this issue, but mine is slightly different and was hoping those more experienced could advise.
Features: No NAV or Tech pkg Bluetooth telephone works perfect I picked up the BMW Y cable and my phone connects and plays.. only thing is it only plays on the left side speakers. Any advise would be appreciated! I have made some progress but would like full audio via Bluetooth. Thanks in advance Sab |

Thanks for the replies.. I forgot to mention that we tried several different BMW Y cables and the same issue occurred. I also purchased a cheap Bluetooth/Aux connection and the speakers on the left side still only function. I understand the cables should play music, and they do work. I just want all the speakers to play.
*The radio plays all with no issue* Is there a module I can reset or a reset method to get all speakers online with the Bluetooth/AUX? TIA |

stupid question - are there Left/Right balance controls on your phone and in the car that you could set?
Is there potentially an issue with the Aux In outlet itself that is stopping the Right side audio? |

The cable is needed to connect and play audio as I do not have the package that plays strictly through Bluetooth. This cable allows the device to be found but only plays on one side of the car.

I have already purchased something similar and audio only emits from the left side speakers in the vehicle. Buying another unit will not fix this issue I don't believe. Any troubleshooting I could perform or resetting of the system to test aux/BT functionality through all speakers?

Replace the AUX/USB plug on the vehicle. They're cheap. People break them all the time.

I verified the tone settings when the phone is connected and they are all centered out. If I slide them to the right, the audio stops but the left works. To me it sounds like it may be something with the connections like Riick mentioned but I'm not sure.
