If you can't afford the X5 with keeping the E90, trade the sedan on the X5. Probably same price as keeping E90 and getting X3.

I have an 05' x3 without winter tires and it handles fine...although just like an e90 would without winters. If you have the money and just want to experience a different ride and enjoy a car... I suggest something betterthan the x3. I just use mine to get around and in the summer I drive my Z4M; now that won't handle in winter.

My cousin has an 05 x3 and loves it. It's much better than the ML320 I used to drive.

Compared the X3 sports pack with my E90 330i with H&R sports springs, X3's ride quality is a lot harsh than my E90. But, the X3 handles just like a sports car, and the power is great too. Another thing about this X3 is that the technology used on this car is still in the same generation of E46, unlike E90's system. but overall, its a great car, we love it as much as the E90. If I have to choose again, I will still get this car.
great review. I sel X3's and your assesment is very good. The improvements that were made for 07 are HUGE.

I was just saying to a coworker this morning that I miss my '04 X3 that got turned in last month. It was a GREAT all around vehicle and if I decided that I ever need another SAV, It will definitely be another X3.
