bmw remote and google maps on iphone

bmw remote uses google maps on the iphone. The iphone is discarding google maps. Will this break bmw remote? I doubt bmw remote has it's own google maps bundled together. I hope they have someone working on an upgrade to that app.

The BMW Remote app appears to use the Google Local Search API. The data that is displayed is coming from Google, not the iPhone.

The Local Search API was officially "deprecated" by Google 2.5 years ago, and at some point it may stop working. Hopefully the BMW Remote app will be updated to use a different API before that time.

BMW remote uses google map APIs to search, display and send the destination to Car. I don't see any issue if Apple introduces its own map application.
