Turbo timer for the N20B20 engine?

Does the N20B20 engine needs the turbo timer? ETK shows that the N20 engine has an electrical water pump, so, technically, the pump can continue working after the engine is turned off to cool down the turbine, but how it goes in real?

turbo timer is not needed on the BMW Twinpower motors.
