35i now or wait?

Just curious what peoples opinions are on this as I keep going back and forth on whether to wait or not.

Get the 35i now or wait for either the i4 turbo or 35d?

btw my CA is telling me about 3 months if I order now. I thought people were getting them faster than that now in the US?

3 Months?

It all depends on the allocation your dealer has @ the plant, but I thought the max was 8 weeks or 2 months, I had never heard 3 months for US waiting time.

Some ppl really want the diesel and I can see waiting for that - BUT, BMW has not said yet when/if it's coming so your wait could be a while. I prefer 6 cyls over 4 cyls so for me, why wait for the 4 turbo, when you can get a 300hp 6 right now.

If your dealer is out of current allocations, I bet your wait time could be approaching 3 months, even in US.

Took less than seven weeks from date of order to the west coast. Find another dealer.

Emailed the CA, I had talked to him about 2 weeks ago when he told me 3 months at that time, now he's saying 7-8 weeks or less.

...but I read is some other threads about delays due certain parts that come from Japan?

I4 turbo will be cheaper, better on gas mileage and almost similar zing of the line. Since I have to wait to order due to Forex appreciation of the Euro, I may just be in time for I4 release and skip the diesel all together.
