Anyone found a supplier of black grilles yet?

Other than have it powder coated like some (and they did look good) has anyone found anywhere that is selling black grilles yet?

Just trade with someone in Europe that has got a 20d or 20i. They're delivered with black kidneys. I'm sure a few of them wants titanuim kidneys on their cars.

I think the problem is most people want gloss black and probably black surrounds rather than chrome. I have some used (they were on the car for a month or so) 20d black grilles if anyone just wants the standard 20d ones.

Why not just order some matte or gloss 3M vinyl film off of ebay for about $20 and wrap the grill, for the most part it's easy to apply and you can always take it off.

I planned to buy a pair of black grills from BMW Park Lane the next time that I'm in London. I've since decided that I prefer the look of the stock grills on my Deep Sea Blue X3.

And with this cost effective method you get to find out how honest your friends are when you show them the end result and ask if you did a good job

Oh Lotus that made me laugh..

I want the black surrounds and grills so the Euro ones are not what I am after, but I think I might get Lotus over to do mine, since he is so good at that.

Everyone interested in black grills should contact **********s. If there's enough interest they'll make them.

LOL. If I'd known DIY was so easy, I'd have started long ago! This also means we could have grills--or anything really--in any color we want!

I believe at some point BMW Performance is going to come out with gloss black kidney grills...at least that's what I've heard.

BMW Black Grills are Here

I have some good news. Germany has finally shipped some of the X3 gloss black kidney grilles to North America and can be purchased at your local BMW dealership. Got mine yesterday!!

Here are the part numbers:

51 71 2 297 590 – right side
51 71 2 297 589 – left side

What about those of us that have black grills but wish to replace the chrome surround? Any suppliers doing those parts?

They're still not available on bmw.de parts catalogue
Not sure I want to go down the DIY route for this kind of thing. I actually may leave it alone altogether as I rarely, if ever, see the front of my car. Always has it's ass in my face.

New BMW grills on carbon black F35 M-sport. Grills now match the shadowline trim package.

Anybody want to buy the silver/titanium grills I just removed??
