Radio Preset craziness

Hi.. new to the group.. I've brought this issue to my BMW dealer - two in fact, and have spoken to a few BMW "genius" guys.. no one has ever heard of this.. just curious if anyone else experiences this.

2017 X3 - this happens only when listening to my preset stations:

On start up, after backing out of the driveway (or parking spot), when I put the car in drive, the radio jumps from the current preset station to the #1 preset station. Sometimes it happens immediately, sometimes it takes 3-5 seconds as I'm driving away.

Any ideas as to why? Anyone else have this issue?

Very strange. To paraphrase the opening of The Outer Limits:

There is nothing wrong with your set. Do not attempt to adjust the station. We are controlling transmission.

On these types of problems it’s very difficult to help diag with out codes due to BMW’s complex electronics. If you can try to get yourself some type of APP to read the cars codes “I’m sure people will chime in on what’s a good app to purchase” and post up your code findings.
