2015 X3D

Getting a burning smell on cold start up only. Dealer trying to figure what it is.
I have a 2015 x3d, The smell is not diesel fumes and goes away after 5 min. All the fans are working fine. Smell inside the car and and outside.

Burning what though? Oil of some kind? Any leaks that you can see in the engine bay or under the car?

I hope your dealer is good, there are tons of crooks in Chicagoland.

Do not see any oil, and it smells like electrical, No codes and the smell goes away after about ten Min

Electrical....hmm. Only at/after startup, I wonder if it has anything to do with the glow plug(s) or their wiring harness.

I haven't heard of this yet, but definitely let us know what your dealer finds out.

Has your X3d had repair per recall: 18V-755 for the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler? Could be leaking.

Dealer could not find anything, glow plugs and wires all checked. So hopefully all goes well in 2021. All recalls were done prior for the EGR
