You will want to research "coding out LED error messages" and go from there. |

Yea led highlights is what I want. Can I buy them on eBay seen a few sets with minor scuff marks that are on the bottom and can't be seen. I want to know if these are plug and play.

I think they need to be canbus led lights.
I just picked up my daughter's X3 from the stealership yesterday and they handed me a pamphlet with led lights for bmw's - apparently they change these (for a fee, probably substantial). The car has the cold-check enabled for bulbs, and usually led's have a very small resistance, and therefore you will get a bulb error on the dash. To fix this, one can either disable the bulb cold-check feature (coding), or you find the correct canbus led bulbs. These have integrated resistors and don't give the error when cold-check is performed. I might be wrong, but this is how I think it works.

So this is what I want to get. The whole head light unit not just a bulb. Sorry if I didn't explain it correct. So will it just plug and play or is more needed. Also please let me know if I should look for anything specific when buying.
