3.0L N52 Cracked engine mount

Hello everyone

I was looking in the hood the other day and saw this engine mount, cracked as you can see in the pictures. I think it goes without saying that I will need to replace both mounts.

Now I was wondering. Has anyone ever seen those mounts get cracked externally like that? On a 56k car? Looks pretty weird to me.

Wow this is wild. Are you experiencing anything feeling odd to accompany this?

My dealer loves to say that engine mounts fail on BMWs all the time. In fact, we've had the mounts replaced on 3 different X models over the past few years.

it is a "casted" part.
if there are not other signs of collision, or front under carriage damage, id have to agree, castings do break.
