Known Programing Error On F25 Vehicles?
The dealership had scratched the back leather portion of my gear selector a couple of weeks ago (long story). The dealership had to order the gear selector and I brought my vehicle in this week to have it installed. It was suposed to be a one day install but at the end of the day I received an email stating they needed it one more day becasue they had to program my vehicle. So, the following day I received an email stating my vehicle is ready. I show up at the dealership and I am told that they could not program my vehicle until the new software comes out in a couple of weeks. He shows me the warranty invoice from the service department and it states "Unable to program vehicle at this time due to known programming error on F25 vehicles per DCS message dated 09-16-2011". There was a note stating that the vehicle was test driven and everything fuctioned properly. The sales rep told me that if I notice any problems they will schedule me in and program my vehicle with the new software. I am going to have them do that either way. Has anybody ever heard of this programming issue or is it BS?
