08 E83 Valve Cover vs. Gasket

All,

I've tackled several issues already, including the Transfer Case (rotation then eventual replacement...got a deal), Tow Hitch, Expansion Tank, etc.

I have a leak that's getting into my Spark Plug Boots, so I think I need at least the Valve Cover Gasket...thoughts on just doing that versus doing the entire Valve Cover? That's the recommendation I'm getting from the Rip-off Artist known as a Independent Dealer (hit a Deer and had to take it to him for the Insurance). He WON'T BE doing the work no matter what - he once tried to charge me TWO HOURS labor to throw a battery in an 03 530i.

I've done VCG's before on various cars; this doesn't look too bad...just wondering the gasket vs. the entire cover and ANY OTHER THOUGHTS.

Rejoice!
William
