Even the 335d engine USA would of been great to have in a X3 since 2012-13.

Our 2013 (Nov 2012 build) X3 F25 2.0D M Sport Auto with 14,000 miles on the clock is currently doing 41.1 Mpg on a daily 5 day commute of 30 miles on steady A road traffic and the occasional longer weekend journey with frequent Sports overtaking where needed.

Picked it up this afternoon. Entire CIC system was replaced (under warrantee, so no charge). Certainly didn't get stuck paying for the loaner car. And since it's 1year old, they changed the oil and replaced the front/rear wipers (and gave it a good wash)...no kidding!
Overall, even though the system failed, very satisfied with the level of service

Don't know if this is a repost, but per fueleconomy.gov I found this:
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find....n=sbs&id=34887 it's estimated to get 27 city/34 hwy for a combined 32 mpg I was hoping it was going to be closer to the F30/31 328d's figures, like at least high 30's hwy, but I guess the unfavorable aerodynamics of the higher stance plus xDrive drag the efficiency down. Hopefully, like most diesels, this new diesel can exceed the EPA's figures. |

given my 35i has averaged 20.5 over almost 3 years, it would be amazing to get a 30% increase in gas mileage, maybe more. 0-60 will go from 5.5 down to 7.8, but that's still not too bad. My old LR2 was 0-60 in 8.2 seconds and we averaged 19 mpg in that. Small/mid size SUVs have come a long way. My biggest problem is that you can't get sport seats in the 28D right now, and that is a must for us. I would love an M Sport package (prefer the dark headliner, steering wheel...) but would make due with a sport line if they offered it. Otherwise I guess we are getting the 35i again (28i isn't worth the 5% gas savings to me) |

I am hoping that its just a slow rollout and that the M Sport will be offered eventually as I believe other markets can get the M Sport on the 20D (which is our 28D), at least give us the sport seats! luckily we will not be in the market until fall 2015, so I am hoping 2016 models have it (and maybe X4 28D option).
