Reliability of your new x3?

I am considering purchasing a new 28i, but is concerned about its reliability as it is a new model new plant...
So those new owners how is your new car? Are you experiencing any issues?

Thanks.

I was wondering about that, too. However, the plant isn't new, the X3 line is. They've been making all the X5's and X6's there for years. I also couldn't find any stories about BMW delivering their cars without working out the kinks. I may have missed something, but it must not have been too huge. Also, according to the plant's webpage they've already produced more than 6000 of them. I'm no expert on quality control, but that seemed like enough to work out any production line kinks.

Now, I won't have mine for another 10-14 days. So can't really respond to your specific question for a bit!

I have driven two and they both seem fine - but I am still waiting for mine... I think any defects they missed are likely to be long term, like the HPFP issue a while ago. If they are widespread enough they may lead to a recall, but I'm expecting that if it happens it will be done rather seamlessly.

230 miles!!! I bet you have spent more time washing it than driving it
