BMW Gift
So I received this gift in the mail from BMW. It's a USB drive shaped like BMW key. There are some owner experience videos and BMW promotional campaigns on it...and that's about it. But good news is I have this great, cool, chrome-plated USB drive. It's only 2GB, though.

We were given floor mats, two key rings (including an M one in carbon fibre) and some BMW luggage as our gift this time.
Sure beats the bottle of wine we were given last time.

I got all weather floor mats, an iPhone 4 cradle, a chrome exhaust tip and a full tank of diesel but they weren't just thrown in, I had to fight for them!
Would be all over a BMW dressing gown if offered!

It seems the Aussie dealerships are more generous? I too received the floor mats (good carpet ones - better than Audi but not quite as premium as Jag or Porsche give you), two keys rings, iphone cradle and ipod USB/power cable, a full tank of diesel and a nice BMW luggage with the wheels and extendable handle. So Dr Stig2 and I received similar treats! Shout out to BMW Melbourne (Martijn in particular) on Southbank for the excellent service and very good delivery. We were very impressed and it was better than the wine and chocolates we got from BMW Doncaster for the 5 series a few years back!

Perhaps it could be based on what the regional margins are for the vehicle? From the vehicle pickup, I got a keychain that amounts to a glorified business card from the dealer but who knows if anything shows up in the mail.

It's potentially a great place to store complaint letters, postings of known issues, and shots of dashboard light-ups. All you have to do then is just offer your service department the drive for a little light reading...

MetaX I agree totally with you. Yes we get great gifts on delivery in Oz but we are so screwed on price here. You pay $55k and we pay $100k. Admittedly we have a 37.5% luxury car tax here but we have always been screwed on price here. Consequences of a tiny market in a far away land removed from the usual shipping trade routes. I was once told by Peugeot that the Aussie market to Peugeot is like Coca Cola wondering whether to supply a local Milk bar (convenience store). In other words; irrelevant.....

Same build/delivery window for mine. I'm sure they are sending them out in batches.
