M Sport (UK) - cannot delete Sport Suspension if VDC?

Is this correct... you cannot delete Sport Suspension (on a UK M Sport) if you are adding VDC?

The dealer has said that he cannot do this (on the selector) and it is because the "Sport Suspension" is equivalent to "Sport" on the VDC, so you cannot delete it (but the VDC will give you an equivalent to "SE Suspension" in the "Normal/Comfort" mode). Obviously VDC adds some functionality other than the suspension stiffness.

(sorry if this topic has been done before)

Sound weird. I would have thought that your options on MSport would either be "Sport" suspension which is stiffer and has a fixed damper rate, or VDC which has variable rate dampers and two settings: normal or sport. When I checked on the UK website you just delete sports suspension, select VDC, and it tells you it's an additional £930. Which means your dealer is probably talking out of his a$$.

Given that VDC provides dynamic/adaptive suspension, it really doesn't matter!

I would suspect that VDC "supersedes" the others in the system and there is no need to "delete" anything.

I will check this out... The dealer says that when he enters the configuration (to his configurer) that he cannot do this: ie if he deletes the sports suspension (on the M Sport) that he cannot add VDC back in...

Hi

Have just tried this and - assuming you are looking at an M Sport - it doesn't allow you to have both "Sport Suspension Deletion" and "VDC" selected at the same time: when you select the former then the later, the former gets unchecked again.

On M Sport, Sport Suspension Deletion gives you regular suspension.

VDC supersedes both regular and sport suspension.

By adding VDC you are effectively deleting sport and normal suspension to have a system which allows both or something analogous to both.
