Seat comfort on MY17 X3

Last week I picked up my new(Dealer demo) X3 MY17 x-line with Innovation package. Since then everything about the car had been great except the comfort of seats. This car has Sensatec Standard seats.

Have been driving a Subaru XV before and never have had felt any sourness in the lower back. But soon after few days of driving the X3, I've started feeling that.

It's been a week so far. Have tried many seat positions based on best ergonomics. But not much luck so far.

Is the stiffness of the seats causing this? Or are the seats not geared for my size of my body?(I'm 5ft 7 69kg) Not sure if I will get used to it over time or seats will get a bit softer over time.

Wondering what are your experiences? any success stories after similar experiences?

You said it had comfort seats and then standard sensetec seats...so not 100% sure if my experience is applicable to yours.

My X3 is my 6th BMW and has the basic seats (in leather). Initially I hated the seats and found them incredibly uncomfortable. But I recently lost some weight and now they're actually pretty good. I played with the adjustments a lot too so that helped. I was trying to set them up like a car and that was the wrong way to do it being an SUV. I'm also much taller than you so I'd guess that they should be a better fit for you overall.

Don't give up on them and keep fiddling. However, in the future if you have a choice BMW sport seats are awesome.

Will keep adjusting the positions and hopefully I'll get used to these seats. Tried a lumba support and it made things worse. Will try a gel + memory foam cushion next and see.

Apart from that the car has been great love it

Will keep here posted.
