Some info needed, Received my new X3 28i awd Monday, i checked and found it came with the 2015 Nav Map info. So i asked immediately why i didnt get the 2016 version?? that came out few months ago.Well anyway i droped off my Veh this morning and they are going to down load new Version.Its been there for 5 hours and i called and they stated it was still downloading sometimes it takes longer or just at mercy of the machine thats downloading??
Anyone ever had this done and whats their experience. I have a loaner x328i sedan wow

Hummmm. When I upgraded my map to NBT UK 2015-2 with the map being on a 32gb USB stick, using the USB port in the centre armrest, it did not take long. I plugged it in and the system recognised it and off I drove and it rebooted on completion after 45 minutes. It should not take any longer no matter what year it is.

Perhaps they are doing other software updates/upgrades.

About 15 min after i wrote this they called and stated it was done, yes maybe they did a whole reload of all software? works perfect now i really dont know what other update were done but they said it was complete updat?

You always load a complete set of maps, so depending on the speed of their internet connection it may take a while to download. Installation in the car takes a little bit as well.
