Msport 369M Rear Rims 9.5's or 8.5 width?

Before you tell me to search, I am just trying to get clarification and am confused because my X3 comes with 245/45/19 tires all around.

with the same tires all around are my rear rims 19 x 9.5 or 19 x 8.5?

From what i've seen by searching, Msport comes with 9.5 in the rear? Please clarify.

Thanks.

The front and rear are both 8.5" with 245 tires in US spec - don't know what they elsewhere.

245's are actually 9.6 inches, if you want to get picky. The M-Sport in the US comes with all four tires at 245/45/19 (pretty funny that they work the 19" in with all that metric stuff). Why not call them 245/45/483's????

You can actually stagger them when you replace your tires (without changing rims)... Just buy 2 275/40/19's for the back! Then you will get almost an 11" tire in the back!

My mistake! You're talking rim width, I'm talking tire width. My bad. I don't actually know about the rim width, but whatever they are, they would be the same on the front and rear. But, you still can stagger the tires if you want!

In Europe the rims are 9,5 in the back and 8,5 in the front.

haha yeah. I left you with a grammatically interesting sentence to work with anyways. Chalk that up to using a smart phone to enter the response.

Plus, you can't fit a 275/40/19 on a 8.5" rim, minimum width is 9", just in case someone was going to try just fitting them on the back.

My brand new (Jan 3rd 2012) US model X3 35i has symmetrical 8.5 front/rear 369M wheels.

It could be different in Canada, I'd call up some dealers until you hit one that has one in stock that he can check.

I was actually going to try! I figured there was some play in there (I've done what Discount Tire calls, "Plus One" tires - where they effectively give you a wider tire on the same rim).

Yeah, you should be able to go to a 255/45/19, but going to a 275/40/19 is pushing it. If I end up with the X3 instead of an X5, I'll probably buy two 9.5width 369Ms and go 255/45/19 up front and 285/40/19 in the rear. Michelin has the Pilot Sport A/S Plus N-Spec in those two sizes. They're the all season option on the Panamera which has roughly the same curb weight as the X3.
