Anybody Hardwire a Blackvue Dashcam to their F25 X3?

Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone has hardwired their dashcams with a Power Magic Pro unit to their F25 X3. As of now, I have mine hardwired directly to the battery and am not sure what to do with the ACC wire. I've been told that the fuses for newer BMWs shut off after a certain time so that's why I've avoided tapping into the fuses. My main concern is that the blackvue will drain out the battery without the ACC wire connected. Would it only affect the timer and not the minimum voltage shutoff?

Thanks!

I have one hardwired in my 235 and I'm using the Magic Pro. Works great.

I have installed one on my F25, however, I added a Cellink b battery so that the camera is connected to Cellink b battery and the battery is hardwired to ACC. You can connect the Cellink b to 12V outlet without wiring to the car battery or fuses.

The fully charged Cellink b can power the Blackvue 2-ch cam for 16 hours.
The battery will be fully charged in one hour or so of driving.
This gives you true parking mode capability without tapping to the car battery.

Thanks for the reference! I did end up connecting to the fuse box as you did and it seems to be working. But the on off switch doesn't seem to work anymore. The unit stays powered on regardless of the switch being in the off position. Did that happen to your PMP as well? Also just wondering where you chose to ground inside the fusebox?

Thanks!
