Halogen Headlight Q / options?

I have a 2013 X3 with the base halogen headlights.

They are simply the worst headlights I have ever had. Ever.

They make the poor headlights on my 07 E90 seem decent.

I have upgraded the bulbs with Philips - X-Treme Vision H7. They are better than what the car came with . . .

Any other cost effective upgrade options out there?

I would advise you to read all the way through the following thread.

Surely they are not that bad? It appears that many find them adequate and not worth spending money on the upgrade. Not my words might I add.

I had the same experience with my 2012 F31 320d Sport. In the end I took it to a BMW garage and they changed the bulbs over for me because the F31 has quite inaccessible bulbs. I supplied the Philips X-Treme Vision H7 bulbs. It made some difference, but not enough. At the same time I fitted the Philips X-Treme Vision H7 bulbs to my wife's little SEAT Ibiza 1.4 SC. They made quite a difference, so we put it down to the headlight reflector shape and properties.

Worth noting. I had the stock Halogen candle headlights on my BMW 2007 E91 325d and they were not as bad as the later F31. Previously I had a 2005 BMW 120d. I do not remember them being that bad.

OH YES. My wife has a 2012 Camry. Its scary how much better they are.

if I knew they were this bad when I bought it, I would have got the Audi.

They are scary bad.
