Terminating destination guidance
1. "Navigation"
2. "Map"
3. "Guidance"
4. "Stop guidance"

Many people are programming one of the 8 programmable buttons to do this.

I figured this out but I have a problem when using the HUD. After I reach my destination, the directions still show on my HUD but there is nothing on my iDrive screen.

This sounds like the same bug as the arrow appearing on the dash after you reach your destination. You can still cancel it by stopping and starting nav (use a favourite button to make this much easier and quicker).

my rig is in production this week. it'll be interesting to see if mine exhibits the same issue. If not, then they've implemented a software fix. I'll let y'all know in a few weeks...hopefully.

Thank You, for the tips. I do not have my X3 but it is nice to know the short cuts in advance.

Just use voice recognition and say: stop guidance.

I have not had the issue with the HUD.

This wouldn't work as it's already stopped. You have to start guidance and then stop it to clear the arrow bug. You only get the issue if you keep driving after reaching your destination
