Road Paint on wheel wells

Came back from Toronto and drove over some freshly-painted lines on the roads. Hard to avoid as it was a 2-lane highway and had to drive close to the paint truck in order to pass. So here I'm, 3 days later, wheel wells full of yellow road paint. Mostly on the wheel wells and I was able to scrap off the plastic parts but the rear wheel wells is more of a felt material and it's hard to get rid of. Any suggestion? I have tried high pressure washer but no luck.

If pressure washing does not remove it, it's obviously completely dried. Gel paint remover might work, but would probably also damage the wheel well liner.

I'd remove the wheels, mask around the wheel flares and spray it with some flat black paint or even some spray undercoating.

You could try cleaning it with some denatured alcohol or mineral spirits and a brush. Otherwise, as Lotus recommended, you may wind up painting over it with a flat black.

Or let the impressive amount of brake dust eventually cover it all up.

That might sound like an easier option

I would try a power wash, if that does nt work I would paint it. But before I dd that I would call the DOT to see what they suggest.
