Low Oil Warning
I have an 2013 28i and had my oil changed by the dealer at my cost around 7000 miles. After driving for about 200 miles, the low oil warning came on and the system showed it was at the minimum. The dealer added a quart and it then showed about 20% above the minimum line. They added a second quart and it still showed only 20% above minimum so 80% below maximum level.
There is no leak. Has anyone had a problem with the gauge not working properly or do you think the dealer didn't fill it up? Any long term damage possible? Thanks for any feedback. |

I had the oil sensor replaced in mine, when I had these symptoms. Not sure they should've kept filling with oil w/o checking first though....in other words, oil level may have been fine, but the sensor was reporting incorrectly, so now perhaps there's too much oil?
