Extended Warranty Options

Greetings all,

Do you all have any recommended extended warranty companies?

Recently purchased a 2014 X3 and looking at options to purchase coverage.

Thanks in advance!

I've had a warranty through Endurance. They were great with the two claims I made. Highly rated in most reviews. I did a lot of research before I picked them.

Was not worth it to me so I declined. I think it was $7k CDN for 3 years and 60k km. That is a lot of repairs to break even and many things were excluded from coverage.

My last BMW warranty was a loser, but the MINI warranty was winner for me. It can go either way. I was frustrated with my BMW warranty because it excluded Comfort Access failures and the eccentric shaft sensor and battery issues, plus didn't cover diagnostic work. They also force you to use a dealer/shop for service which adds to the cost because I can handle most things myself.

I have a 2013 X3 M Sport with the N20 and 37k miles. BMW extended the warranty on all real issues (timing chain, thermostat, etc) to 70k and 120k regardless if the original warranty is expired or not.

Everything else that could break it's cheaper to pay out of pocket than pay for a 3rd party warranty. I did not buy my X3 CPO I bought it private. My last 328 I bought CPO for the warranty was a total waste of money for the 5k premium of buying CPO. The things that did break over 4 years totalled to around $800.

Suggestions Requested. 2015 X3 xDrive 28i. 30,000 mi. In service 02/14/2015. Plan to keep for another 3-4 years. So far, no problems or major repairs. What extended warranty plans should I be considering? BMW or third party? Also, not clear whether BMW plan includes extended maintenance -- I assume not, correct? And last but not least, what should I expect to pay?? Thanks in advance.
