You can hear it on the deceleration whilst free revving the car. BMW want $1400 for a new alternator. I want to remove the alternator and check the pulley and get the alternator tested. I'm not convinced. It could be the clutch mechanism or bearings and not a whole new alternator. I cannot find any info to remove the alternator for N47T engine. Can anyone help or add any thoughts on this noise? I'm based in QLD, Australia Thanks
