Very easy to apply, and it does not need rigorous buffing.
Thanks.

So what all we need to buy to get a great car body finish? If it is reasonably priced, I will get one set to compare it with Zaino.

I would like to comment following:

1. Decide on one sytem of polishing / waxing. I decided Zaino.
2. Go through YouTube sessions on how people did it.
3. Get all the material well before you start doing it.
4. In my case, main time/ effrots were needed in washing the car to a spotless surface. Polishing and sealing didnt take much time/ efforts.
April and Terry- I think you sold me on the Zaino products

I had it done by a detailer. The car was almost new (3months) and didn't have major issues, I chose a "nanotech" treatment and was astonished by the result. Now it's so glossy! Another great advantage is that the car gets much less dirty because dirt has more difficulty in sticking to the car body. The treatment included glasses and windshield.

Here a link to the detailer page with my car: http://simone-ilmiolavoro.blogspot.i...tz-finest.html

I am so satisfied!!!

Hey April1,

My car is almost two months old and I figure the factory paint has had adequate time to cure so it's time to seal things up.

I've been contemplating having a detailing shop apply a polymer based polish to the car but I recall this thread and thought I'd ask a couple of questions. I was quoted $150 which seems reasonable but Zaino will cost about $45 for just the product.

Did you use just the Z-5 Pro & Z-2 Pro for clear coated finishes as per the Zaino website?

Did you use a clay bar?

How much of the Z-2 did you use on the applicator? ... the YouTube video I watched should only a single thin line of product on a 4x6" applicator.

You can check if you need the clay. After washing the car, wear a thin latex glove in hand and rub on the wet paint surface. You will know if you need the clay. Claying is not a big thing but you should not repent not doing Claying if it was needed. Learn the clay process before you go for it.

You will need AIO + Z5 for dark colors + Z2 + CS + Z6.

Read the site for details. You need to apply a very thin layer. That's enough. You will need 2 to 3 layers of Z2.
