2011 X3 is nice bu it is just not me!

I'm looking to buy either the 2012 X3 or the 2012 X5.

How many of you regret of buying the X3 instead of X5?

I believe the new X3 looks great but it does not have that MAN looks, the mean looks that the new 2012 3 series / 2012 5 series and X5 have.

Please let me know your thru opinion as a owner about it.

Thank you :-)

My "thru" [sic] opinion is you should not go near a X3.
If you prefer the "MAN looks" (whatever those are) of the X5, then go buy a X5.
Personally, I don't like the "WOMEN looks" of the X5 and think the Ferrari 458 has more "MAN looks".

It's a car not a penis extension. Or is it?

Unfortunately mainly women drive X5's here and thats around Schools so X3 35D M Sport for me, the performance and economy outstrips the X5 all round.

I always thought that a beat up rusted out old pickup screamed “man looks”.

Who cares? You are obviously trying to stir the pot with remarks like that.

A loaded X3 looks quite a bit different than the base one due to different trims. When I picked it up several sales reps & mechanics came out and said, "This is how people should order theirs" because of the way the different rim, rims, wheel size made it look.

I've had the 2012 X3 35i for 9 days now and have no regrets. I love it more every day. (I get buyers remorse for most things I buy, and so far I have none other than I didn't splurge for the HUD).

X5 looks very nice, but it takes up more space and is heavier. If you want more interior space go X5. If you want a sportier car X3 35i with sports package will give you chrome/satin trim, 19" 309 rims and the Dynamic Handling Package gives you tighter suspension and steering. I couldn't be happier people in the forum talked me into DHP.

Fully loaded or fully standard...

It boiled down to a couple things for me... gas mileage (though the D is a nice option for the X5)... then it came down to fully loading the X3 vs a fully standard X5.

Yeah, I see some of the "looks" differences you're talking about, but it was more important to me to get a car fully loaded with what I wanted than what I consider slightly better looks. The M-X5 is a powerful, awesome looking vehicle... but it's also way out of my price range (probably about $20-$25K more).

Plus my wife and I are both under 6' tall... The X3 fits us, our lifestyle, I love the looks... Oh, and there will always be a better looking, faster car out there...

actually I bought the X3 because I thought it looked more aggressive than any other SUV out there of the SAME size. the Audi Q5 is very much more feminine than the X3, the Mercedes GLK just looks like crap, and what else is there, nothing else compared to the German cars

Get the M Sport or wait for the X3M if you are that concerned.

Let's reiterate what you just said:
"I'm looking to buy a 2012 X3 or a 2012 X5.

How many of you regret making a huge purchase that you probably thought a lot about?

The X3 looks great but it doesn't pump my penis like the prostitutes whose orifices I frequent.

Please let me know if you're not as insecure as I am."
Buy what you want.
I love my car, flaws and problems or not.
I don't need prostitutes to talk dirty to me about how "big" my penis is.
Did that answer your question?

I have a small codpiece, will driving an X5 make it look bigger? My suggestion: see if you can find an old Lamborghini LM2 if you want your codpiece to look bigger.

My previous car was a BMW 2007 328i with sport package, loved it, so I sold it and I got the 2010 Lexus, but the car is weak, the material quality is better than BMW but does not drive like a BMW, strong! Does not have that nice feeling when you take a corner on a high speed.
But right now I have two babies, back then I had none... So I need the space for the car seats and for the stroller, which a 3 can no longer be a candidate as that car would be my first choice.

I already test drive both cars, I like the way the X3 drives and the X5 felt a bit too heavy but I think the X5 looks better than the X3 but soon will be replaced for a newer model.

I just wanted to know if someone that bough an X3 ever regraded and why?

I'm looking to get the 3.5i with sport pkg blue.
