Damn question, e46 wheels

Can I use the snow tires/rims from a 2005 e46 19" on the 2011-12-13 X3?
I know, what a stupid question! But non of my friends could answer me that question, so, here I'm.

You are missing quite a few details, but theoretically the wheels will fit although the tire diameter will be too small.

From a reply to another topic by Lotus7, here are the wheel specs for the F25:

FYI: Basic wheel specifications for the X3(F25) chassis are:

Bolt Circle = 5 X 120mm
Offset = 45mm (43 to 47mm acceptable)
Hub centering Bore = 72.5 mm (hub ring dia. = 72.47mm)
Bolts = M14X1.25 Conical seat, 17 mm heads (Note the X3(E83) uses M14X1.5 bolts)
Minimum bolt engagement = 9.5 turns

The bolt engagement spec is very important and is often overlooked. Some wheels have different hub thicknesses, so use different length lug bolts. If the replacement wheels are even slightly "thicker", you need longer bolts.

I tried to find an answer to a similar question, if it was possible to fit my 17 rims, coming from my E91 to the new F25 to use them as winter tires.

The offset is 34 and perfectly fits, the real doubt was on the "robustness" of the rims (tires are different, of course), it seems rims come with a number similar to the "load index" of tires that should express the max load per wheel, that with an SUV vehicle should be higher than the one of a normal mid-size family car.

To be honest, I decided to take the risk and the result is (not bad uh?) in the picture below:

I like it!

Thank you for the quick reply.

When I get mine I will try, let see, if does not feet, well... too bad, since e46 rims can be installed on a e90 I see no reason why would not feet on the newer X3, I will make sure that a professional like townfair tires get it install just to be in the same side.

Your car looks really good BTW.
