The 369s are 8.5X19, -38, IIRC. Here they are with 275/40R19 Firehawk Indy 500 on all four corners, spaced out with +15 in front and +20 in the rear. Tons of clearance all around. The rear needs more spacer, IMO. Looking at +25 or +30 next for the back.

Love these tires, BTW. Both more comfortable and way sportier/grippier than the stock Goodyear LSes, which are now destined to become a backyard tree fort ladder.

Looking good! I just dumped the runflats this week and couldn't be happier. I went with a staggered 245 front and 275 rear, but now I'm wishing I would have went 275 all around.

For anyone contemplating dumping the runflats, do it! The ride is a billion times better. And for those with style 369s, I can confirm that the wheels are 8.5 all around, NOT 8.5 front and 9.5 rear like in Europe.

I think you just made my day. I had been wondering about going staggered even though factory they are square setup on my 369m's. Also going to ditch the run flats and was thinking of just picking up one of the BMW mobility kits with the tire goop and pump just incase.

Glad I could help! Despite the slight variances between tires manufacturers, a 275/40/19 should work for any tire manufacturer you go with. I do not have the tire "bulge" that the internet swore I would have on the 8.5" rim. I guess only Europe got the 8.5" front and 9.5" rear style 369s.

I got the same tires on my staggered set up back in February. They are terrific tires and transformed the ride quality and handling. Happy to see somebody else with them.

Cool. My wife will be getting the same in 245/40R19 and 275/35R19 on her X1's 225 wheels soon.

I should have clarified that I actual have 20s. I went from my stock 17s with runflats to 20s on the Firestones. Surprisingly the ride is more compliant and quieter, with a little sacrifice to the ability to cushion bigger bumps like large expansion joints and such.

Thanks for posting. I'm also looking for new tires and thinking of going the wider route. Did you notice any issues w handling with the wider tires? Also, what spacers are you using and was anything required to use them?

I didn't notice any detriments to handling. Quite the opposite. Turn in is equally good, no squirm, but grip is leagues beyond the stock Goodyears.

The spacers are inexpensive eBay versions. They shipped with matching longer bolts. Nothing special otherwise.

Wow, this post is great. I upgraded to a square 20" setup... I'm running style 373M, 20x 8.5" all around, 255/40-20 all around. I would've MUCH rather had something wider on there, glad to see you have no issues. I'm running Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my X, leagues better than the OEM LS2s...

Any clearance issues on 275/40/19 front wheel like rubbing on the inner fender when full lock turn?

I've noticed a little rubbing noise when in braking in reverse under full lock. It rubs on the middle front of the fender liner just a little, and only under those conditions. The driver's side is the worst. The passenger side doesn't show any noticeable wear.

On the inside, there's tons of clearance. More than inch. I'm pretty sure you could run a 275 to a 295 on a 10" wide wheel, if you were so inclined, up front.

On the photo of inner fender, what wheel spec are you running on the front wheel?
Is that 275/40/19x8.5 with (minus 38) offset and +15mm spacer?

I’m trying to figure out the wheel spec that I should be ordering. I am thinking of doing a wide aggressive stance without using a wheel spacer. Either 19x9.5 ET+33 or 19x10 ET+38 on the wheels. 275/40/19 tires.

Yeah, I'm effectively running 19x8.5 -23 up front. The 9.5 +33 would fit fine. I think the 10 at +38 wouldn't fit because it would contact the strut. Offset would need to closer to 30 with the 10" wheel. Even then, expect a fair amount of poke up front without camber correction.

This guy using 275/35/19x10 ET+38 effectively. He went lower on the aspect ratio to 35 instead of 40. The wheel fit nicely. Not hitting the struts. But not sure if it will rub the inner fender on full lock turn. Some wheels would say they’re 19x9.5 but when you look at the dimensions, the details would say 19x10.

You think this rub is due to the tire width or the spacers or the combo of both? Thinking of getting the tires but not the spacers.

It's from the spacer. It would easily fit and not rub without it.

Older thread..... but wanted to see if you were still running this tire setup and had any negative issues?

I noticed that these Firestone tires state that a 9-11” rim is required to run the 275 size.

Still running it. They're due for replacement within the next 5,000 miles, most likely. Still loving it. There's a bit of tire squirm through transients if you're really tossing it hard, but it's manageable and settles quickly. I'm sure that would be a non-issue on wider wheels.

Your setup looks great.

I have Oem square setup with 19x8.5 ET 38 and 245/45/19.

I was concerned that those Indy 500s would not fit properly as they state they are designed for 9-11”?

I was thinking of maybe going with a 255/50/19 to maybe fill in some of the wheel gap. Prolly with Conti DWS06

I run the Firestone Indy 500 on my X3 M-Sport in OEM 19in size. They're rebranded Bridgestone Potenza RE003. They're a really good tire! Wish they said Bridgestone on the side instead of that cheezy for USA market "Indy 500", but whatever... those in the "know" know they are not some ghetto Firestone tire but they're an actual high performance Potenza RE with a huge cult following in Australia.
