blind spot issues

I'm wondering if anyone has been annoyed with the rear blind spot in this car or is it a non issue?

You mean back window or side blind spots?

If the former, it has taken a bit to get used to the small window but I've gotten comfortable that I know where the cars are behind and to the side.

If the latter, no problems at all.

Agree with Duke. I was comfortable with small rear window within a week.

I was more worried about blind spots when driving at high speeds. Never had issues with that as well.. Side mirrors are big enough for X4. Also have blind spot monitoring that I don't use. I feel there is more value in it at slow speeds and functionality is disabled for speeds under 30mph

Gotten used to it, have also surround cameras for parking. For me the Alcantara rooof lining makes it worse for the car now feels like a cave..3 years later no issues

Thanks for the input here! It feels like a cave? There is a lot on the line because if I trade something it would be the 1M coupe for the x4M40i because I just can't drive it in the winter and it's become a garage queen. I know I should probably have my head examined for even thinking about it.

Only in black Alcantara headliners, I opted for beige in xline form no such issues

No issues whatsoever with blind spots. One of the fringe benefits of moving to an "X-model" is that BMW finally put decent sized mirrors on the car. I have driven two 5-series and the X4 has far less blind spots to worry about.

As other have said, it took me a week or so to get used to the smaller rear window - no issue. Except if you want to look at the mountains you just descended from or the dark clouds behind you...
