I have chosen for the 19inch 622M wheels instead of the great 20inch versions you have. The tire size although is the same; meaning 275 at the back.
I was wondering how the width of the 275 tires look like form the back angle view of the car. Is it possible to post a picture where you can show how great these 275’ers look like?
Do you have also the fully electric towbar option?
If yes, does the automatic tailgate operation (foot bellow the rear M-bumper) is available/working in the combination of the M-sport backside bumper and the towbar system?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Woody, I'd be happy to try and grab a picture of the back angle. I did not get the towbar accessory. Regarding the automatic tailgate, I was told by my dealer that no x3 model will have this as the angle of the "back door would slam you in the face."

The foot-below-the-bumper auto tailgate is alive and well and works fine on our '15 xLine...

I stand corrected then. Poor info from my dealer. Perhaps he meant it won't be on any M-sports?

That's what I've been told.

Yes, I believe I've heard the same for the m Sports, but if you watch that BMW product video on the X4, it has that functionality with the sport pkg....

You would do me a big favour with a picture of the back angle where the width of the 275'ers are visible!

Woody, just took a few pictures for ya. Let me know if these are adequate. The new whip is a little dirty but should be representative of what you want to see.

Sweet ride! They're addicting. I only have 480 miles on mine (this Friday will be one month with it already .... crazy). That's my only complaint, I don't drive enough.

How does everyone already have their license plates? Just standard issue right out the gate? The melbourne red M Sport in Minnesota has plates, too. I don't get mine until ~3rd week of July.

I literally drove off the dealership with plates. Not sure what the hold up would be?

Ahh, gotcha. Different states do it differently apparently. We get "temporary tags" for 60 days ... the dealership gets to advertise where the license plate would go and everyone then knows you got a new car, which is the fun part.

I have saddle brown. Another new venture for me! I love it. It's very hard to photograph, though. Out of the 4 photos I took, this one looks the most representational. When I was ordering and looking at saddle brown photos online so many looked pumpkin orange that I almost changed my order. Very happy I didn't, this color is very rich, elegant and sporty at the same time.

Thank you for the kind words. I can't compare to the 19" wheels as I have not ridden an x3 with them, but the ride is pretty good. I'd be surprised if it is as good or better than an x3 with fatter wheels, but my dad has and was overall pretty impressed. I do have the DDC but I don't believe it comes stock with the m-sport package and I'm pretty sure you can get it on the xline.

Awesome looking X3! Have you thought about going black on the grilles? I'm trying to picture it on your front end photo, which looks great the way it is by the way. I just installed black on my Space Gray 2014 M ($105/eBay/OEM), but haven't decide yet how I like it. There is a bit of chrome in the headlights which blends seamlessly into the grill the way it is, even more so with 2015. IMO, the black would look good, unless it comes off as trying too hard. If you do it they're easy to swap out yourself.

Enjoy!

Thank you! I'm not sure how the black grills would look on carbon black. Do you mind posting pictures of yours?
