2012 X3: How Much Discount Did You Negotiate?

I'm getting ready to order a X3 28i. How flexible was the dealer in negotiating a price? What discount did you negotiate?

Did they agree to dealer cost or dealer invoice + $X or Sticker price minus $X?

Thanks!

That is how much I paid for my 2011 x3 35i, about 850 over invoice.

X3 35i (convenience package included as standard for 35i)
-sport package
-premium package
-cold weather package
-rear camera and park distance
-BMW assist w/Bluetooth

MSRP- $51,875
My purchase price $48,411

So my discount from the MSRP was about 7%. Not a 100% on invoice price (every site is giving me a different number) but I'm ball parking my purchase price is about $900-1,000 over invoice.

MSRP $50,975.
My purchase price $46,400.
$4,575 off sticker

Got the Zag price and started there. A dealer an hour away told me he would beat any offer by $500. Luckily my local dealer was very keen too and I ended up with two matching offers at 46400 and went with the closer one.

I got 5% below MSRP on 2012 pre-order for fully loaded model, all packages and extra options, PC delivery first run. I got the winter mats free plus a key chain and shirt and the $1000 owner loyalty even though I was not trading, exchanging or selling and I actually didn't even have the car, just the registra tion still valid on older BMW plate.
I have no idea how that compares but I got better things to do in my life than nickel and dime for another $500 off. The sales person has been super customer friendly, responsive and professional.

$1200 over invoice minus $1000 loyalty and $1000 Olympic credit = $800 under invoice on 35i. Pretty good deal I thought, as dealers seem less inclined to come down on the 35i.

Thats about 9% off MSRP. Best I've seen so far. I am really curious what people will be paying 5 months from now when more inventory hits dealerships. hopefully the same I'm paying now

Getting little jealous about your prices... I am ordering 2.0 diesel with stick and some options.

Total price with taxes and wintertirepackage is 63 000 €, that is 85 050 USD.

And the discount is 3300 USD of the MSRP price of "plain vehicle cost, no taxes".

$800 over invoice is different than $800 over sticker.

No. Invoice price is not cost. Invoice is fixed and relatively easy to find (and yes, the dealer might even show you), but it is not the true cost, as evidenced by some members who negotiated below invoice pricing (including me on both my current vehicle and a previous BMW).

Invoice does not equal cost. Cost is below invoice by a little bit.

Invoice is usually somewhere around $3000-$4000 below MSRP (aka "sticker").
