Come to think of it, I'm wrong. I did notice the transmission was behaving differently than expected (holding gears longer) when in sport mode. I thought it was because it was a demo and was learning too many other drivers and the useless salesman didn't say anything. Sorry for the confusion I caused, you guys are right.

Not that I have seen. It's suspension and steering together.

Was surprised to find I get better mileage in Sport (transmission) when driving in heavy traffic. Wonderful excuse to use it!

Its an interesting one.. Initially I had the M Sport with the normal suspension that comes with, and as I had not been able to drive anything else with the enhanced I kept it at that.
Pretty much all the review cars that I seemed to read about in the UK press talked about having VDC and stated that the ride was good. So after a while of thinking it through I decided rather than end up with something that was maybe too hard on occasions and I wouldn't like it, I went for the VDC and deleted M Sports suspension. Was also based on feedback from people who had the X5 and didn't like it. I've not been able to find a Sport+ though (Unless that is the option with DSC disabled?) I have Normal and Sport.. (Maybe I should read the manual) My drive to work is through country lanes with bad roads, and the M3 never used to like those too much, so I wanted something a little more comfortable for those days where you are feeling old Not really driven it to work yet in Sport mode all the way, but I will try once I am happy that I know what the ride feels like in normal, so will give it a few more trips, then ill post up with my personal view |

I sort of went through similar logic but ended up ordering the MSport with the UK standard Sport Suspension as I decided I wanted the sunroof more than the VDC - I had to stop spending....
My gut feeling was that BMW are only getting reviews with VDC so they can achieve sales of this option (which I'm sure is a good option). I can't abide soft suspension and felt the MSport must be more compliant than my E93 MSport - which was a bit to hard, due IMO to the RFTs. My F25 3.0D with sport sus is fine for me but this is a personal thing and a tought call without back-to-back driving. The perfect setup for me would probably be sport sus with real tyres (sorry, tires), not RFTs. Mine's a lease car so I can't really change the tyres, which aren't too bad but I'm sure could be better. PS Sport+ is Sport without DSC. Just press the Sport button a 2nd time.
